i love quebec city. it's very french, and very paris-like. i love just sitting and hearing everybody speaking french, it's so pretty. montreal is nice, too. we stayed in a hostel with like a million rules. they even had an explanation with pictures to show you how to take off your shoes when you enter the place. he-he.

this place is so french! i love it. there was a little area with some artists in it, like a little montmartre in paris. this was one artists collection.

this is from a botannical garden about a mile and a half up the street from out hostel in montreal. it was a huge garden and we probably only saw 2/3rds of it.. we were exhausted from walking.. and my boots made me tired. sad me. :)
cute little baby notre dame. we both sat and made pictures of it. what fun! it was funny to see all the people popping by with their cameras and their quick shots. it's a different experience to sit and draw and thereby take in every little angle and curve and really appreciate the architecture. and to watch the light change on the surface. beautiful!

oh my. everything looks wonderful. i totally agree about drawing rather than snapping a photo. Although i love photography and how it can capture life, death, and stillness all at once a picture is more personal. If you draw a picture than you're part of it, and being part of that texture, shading, and captiousness is just kinda cool.
